The timber is soft to moderately hard and light to moderately heavy, with density of most species ranging from 270-495 kg/m3 air dry. The timber is classified under Light Hardwood in Malaysia.The timber is reputed to be non-durable.Texture is moderately fine and even, with straight to shallowly interlocked grain.The timber is reported to be very easy to work.
