Background

The National Urban Forestry Conference 2024 (NUFC 2024) is set to address the intersection of sustainable urban development and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, with a strong focus on urban forests and community-centric solutions. This event will spotlight crucial areas in managing urban forests, such as green space planning and management, the application of current technologies, arboriculture practices and their role in enhancing community green spaces, corporate social responsibility (CSR) aimed at community well-being, and the importance of integrating environmental education or eco-literacy within communities to foster sustainable living practices.

The NUFC 2024 will bring together a diverse group of thought leaders, including policymakers, academicians, researchers, industry innovators, and environmental advocates. Through keynote and plenary presentations and panel discussions, participants will have the opportunity to share and exchange innovative ideas and develop actionable strategies to address the complex challenges of urban sustainability within communities. The NUFC 2024 is a platform for participants to network, form partnerships, and leave inspired to contribute to the global movement towards more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive urban communities.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Participants interested in presenting oral or poster papers are invited to submit the abstract in soft copy. The abstract should be prepared as follows:

1.  Prepared in A4 size, typed single-spacing in Microsoft Word with a 2.5 cm margin on all sides, Times New Roman font

2. Title: 14 pt, bold, and in uppercase letters

3. Author's name(s): 11 pt, bold

4. Author's address(es): 11 pt; no abbreviation; if more than one author, please indicate the address of each author numerically in superscript. Include an email address for the corresponding author only.

5. Text of the abstract: 11 pt; no abbreviations; no references; one paragraph; not more than 500 words. Botanical names should be in italics. Use standard symbols for measurement and the International System (S.I.) for units.

A full paper must be prepared as per the above guideline. Reviewed full papers will be published in the conference's proceedings. The Organising Committee reserves the right to assign the papers for oral or poster presentations.
