Some species of beetles are regarded as plant pests and nuisance due to their feeding activities, which reduce the aesthetic value of the tree and can sometimes cause considerable damage to young plants. This paper provides information on some of the commonly encountered leaf-feeding beetles (gold dust weevil, the scarab beetle and flea beetle) and recommendations of control.
