The present list of “Suitable Commercial Timber Species for Glue Lamination” in Appendix A MS 758 (MS 758 2001) is considered to be inconclusive considering the related literatures have not clearly defined the basis that were used in establishing these gluing characteristics. In this regard, intensive studies on the gluing performance of local timbers will be essential. This information is important especially to the lamination stakeholders.
