This coffee-table book covers the research and conservation activities which were carried out at Tasik Chini Biosphere Reserve (TCBR) from year 2011 to 2016. Chapter 1 describes the history of involvement by FRIM and NAHRIM in research and conservation at TCBR. Chapters 3, 4, 5and 6 portray research on hydrology, hydrodynamics and freshwater wetlands by NAHRIM. Chapters 2, 7, 8 and 9 illustrate studies of soil types, highlight conservation efforts and discuss FRIM’s economic study of local communities. Not only do these activities sustain and ensure the future of TCBR, they also contribute to the viability of local communities and ecotourism.
